Dear Educator,
We've made educational history and invite you and your students to learn from our hard work. The Connecticut Renaissance Faire is offering a special ''School Day" on Monday Sep 29, 2008. This annual event has been set aside solely for educators and students to experience the magic of the Renaissance.
| What I love about CTRF is the awesome attitude the actors have towards the kids. I went with six kids ages 4-11 and they all had a blast! - T.Crescenzo |

At CTRF your students will be encouraged to take part in every aspect of the faire. They will be encouraged to touch, to smell, to listen, and most importantly, to get up and do. Students won't just watch actors in a play; they will help form the stories that play out on the faire grounds during the day.
Students will experience the hardships of being a serf, behold a battlefield of warring knights in full armor and hear speech and music of an age now lost to time. Your school will be treated to a day filled with informative and thought provoking experiences that can be brought back to the classroom, added to a curriculum and brought to life in the minds of your students.
Let us immerse your students in a subtle learning experience that will leave them begging you to discover more. Here are several of many reasons to attend:
Hear traditional songs, music and instruments from the Renaissance period.
- See why plate armor ruled that battlefield for more than a hundred years.
- Interact with hundreds of costumed characters from royalty to peasants and hear about the hardships from those who live it.
- Take part in a human chess match, maypole dance, and many other performances and activities.
- Learn all about life in the Renaissance first hand!
The Faire is a living history recreation where professional actors interact with students and involve them in a day filled with so much fun and excitement they'll forget they are learning. See why our visitors call us 'Very entertaining, educational, and fun for the whole family."
