HARVEST MOON OPENING Join us during the Harvest Moon for our "Crusade Against Hunger." You can help us to help others by donating cans that give YOU a discount on admission. Don't miss this unique offer on this special weekend.
- Save Big Saturday: On our opening Saturday we'll give you $2 OFF a General Admission for each Big-Y Brand canned good you donate up to FOUR (4) Big-Y Brand canned goods. This is a 50% savings on a General Admission (maximum is $7 off) AND you get to help those in need. All canned goods will be donated to the Connecticut Food Bank.
- Super Kids Sunday: On our opening Sunday we'll give you $2 OFF a Youth Admission (maximum is $8 off) for each Big-Y Brand canned good you donate up to FOUR (4) Big-Y Brand canned goods. This is up to a FREE Youth Admission. All canned goods will be donated to the Connecticut Food Bank.

Note on Food Donations: The foods most needed are 100% Fruit Juice; Canned Vegetables & Fruit, Canned Beans; Chunky Soups & Beef Stew; Peanut Butter; Tuna & Other Canned Meat. Remember: only Big-Y canned goods receive a discount.

- Vow Renewal Ceremony (Sat. Oct 2): OCT 2 ONLY -- Married couples are invited to renew their vows at CTRF at this special ceremony led by Pope Urbino himself.
- Babes in Bodices Contest (Sun. Oct 3): Ladies! Have you been blessed with amazing assets? Then strut your stuff at our Babes in Bodices Contest, where the audience will help our judges decide who gets to go home with the coveted title Best Bodice Babe. [Contest Rules]
We created this weekend for those who share our passion for all things vikings, pirates, ninjas, stormtroopers or whatever you and your friends feel like invading as!
- Deaf Awareness Day (Sat. Oct 9): "Finger Dancers" from around New England come to the Connecticut Renaissance Faire to interpret a variety of different shows throughout the day for our friends who are Deaf & Hard of Hearing.
- International Mettle & Might Tournament (Oct 9 & 10): Competing knights from around the world will meet on the grounds of The Connecticut Renaissance Faire during Columbus Day weekend to battle for honor, prestige, and prizes in this annual tournament.
- Men in Kilts Competition (Oct 11): Gentlemen put your best leg forward as the audience helps our judges decide who the best man in a kilt is. [Contest Rules]
FINALE WEEKEND (OCT 23 & 24) This is it! Your last chance to enjoy our fall performance before a long winter's nap. If you can't make it, we'll be back in the spring with our Robin Hood Springtime Festival in Guilford, CT! Don't miss it!
- Bring Your Pet Day: Bring your dog, lizards, snake, parrot or other small pet to our Pet Day held on closing day of our show, October 24. Admission for your pet is only $8. All dogs must be registered at the front gate before entry. You are responsible for the actions of your pet. Please bring means to pick up after your pet and provide it food/water.
- Doggone Halloween Costume Contest: [October 24] Dog Owners be sure to participate in our Dog Day Halloween Costume Contest to win prizes and the recognition your pooch deserves. Here are the categories.
