FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I have to wear a costume to attend the Faire?
No costume required! Just come dressed as you would to any outdoor agricultural fair and you're ready to enjoy a full day of fun. Guests are welcome to wear costumes suitable for a family-friendly atmosphere to enhance the fun of the event! We reserve the right to refuse entry (or ask you to leave/change) if you are wearing clothing that is inappropriate for a family environment.
Are you open if it rains? Yes. We are open rain or shine. A majority of our shopping is under tents and we have a giant-sized tent to help keep you out of the weather. For those looking for a more authentic feel, join us for some good English weather the next time it rains during Faire. Generally we only close in severe weather or a zombie apocalypse.
How much does it cost to park? Thanks to our sponsors, parking is free. Please help us thank them by patronizing their business. We also have handicap accessible parking, and a VIP parking area for CTRF Crusaders.
Are there any costs not included with admission? All shows are included with your entry fee. Additional costs may include: food & drink, games & rides, and tipping performers for a job well done. This doesn't include shopping in New England's LARGEST Medieval Marketplace with over 60 shops!
If we leave the Faire can we come back in? Yes. Just make sure to get your hand stamped on your way out. When you return to the Faire show your hand stamp to the gate crew and they'll let you in. You can't re-enter the faire after we close at 6PM.
Can we bring our pets? Pets are not allowed on site EXCEPT for our "Bring Your Dog Day" being held on May 23. Admission for your dog is only $7. Watch for info on our Prettiest Pooch Costume Contest! Coming soon!
How long should we plan to visit? Many of our guests decide to share the entire day with us and often return once or twice during our season to see things they may have missed the first time around.
Do you accept credit cards? How about your merchants? NO! The Connecticut Renaissance Faire does NOT accept credit cards for admission. Many of our merchants accept credit cards, but plan on having cash ready for food and drink. There is an ATM machine available just outside the front gate and another one just inside.
How much should we expect to spend during our visit? What you spend in a day is entirely up to you. Food and drink prices start around $3 with a wide variety of options to choose from.
What is your weapon policy? Any edged-weapon that is part of your costume must be sheathed and peace tied (fastened in a way that makes it impossible to draw) with leather straps or zip ties. Weapons that cannot be peace tied will not be allowed on site. Concealed weapons are forbidden on site.
Is Beer and Wine available for sale? YES! Beer and Wine are available for sale at the Nottingham Ale Stage tent.

Our Food Court keeps it prices low so you can't afford to miss this delectable King's Feast of food and drink. We realize, however, that not all foods served at the Faire accommodates all diets so we have implemented the following rules:
