Welcome to Connecticut’s first Belly Dance Championship! The 2011 Eastern Regional Belly Dance Championship held at the Connecticut Renaissance Faire's "Robin Hood Springtime Festival” on May 14 & 15, 2011. Individual dancers and troupes may dance cabaret, tribal, or folkloric styles to compete for cash and other prizes in this two-day-long belly dance championship.
STUDENT DANCERS – BEGINS MAY 14 AT 11:00 AM
Entering at "Student-Soloist" or “Student Troupe” status means any dancer(s) that have 1 to 2 years experience in any style. You have yet to perform paying gigs, or at a restaurant. You may have danced at a Hafla or student show and are under the direction of a teacher or belly dance mentor.

- Student Solo: Dance time limit is 5 minutes.
- Student Troupe: Dance time limit is 6 minutes.
PRO DANCERS – BEGINS MAY 15 AT 11:00 AM
Entering at Pro "Pro-Soloist" or "Pro-Troupe" status means any dancer(s) that have 3 years or more experience belly dancing in any style. You will have a good vocabulary in the Middle Eastern Art of Dance and attend dance class as well as workshops regularly. You will have performed several times, maybe including paying gigs.
