Please take advantage of our affordable season passes to see new shows, shops, and more as our themes change each weekend. Unless otherwise noted, we include all performances with your admission. Some performers may busk for tips. Please tip at your discretion.

Shelli Buttons – Aerialist
Adorable, fun, and feisty…. cute as a Button! Packed with mad skills in the air and on the ground, Shelli Buttons will wow with aerial silks, juggling, acro-balance, and more!

Sheriff Bracken
Sept 17 thru Oct 16 only! Be wary when you wander the streets of Lebanshire, for Sheriff Bracken is on patrol. His interpretation of the law is versatile enough to incriminate you on wide variety of offences, be they real or imagined. Remember, your innocence is nothing more than the delusion of a wicked mind. Is not Justice Fun?

Knightwings: Birds of Prey
Witness the beauty of these incredible birds of prey in flight. Watch them chase lures and perform for the audience.

Knighting Ceremony with the King & Queen
Has your young knight or lady brought honor to his house and to her name? Have them present themselves to King Henry and Queen Anne at a quarter to the hour of One on the Sovereign Stage to receive their accolades! Happens just prior to the Royal Parade but at the end of Boons & Favours. Don’t miss this great photo op for your child!

Spur of the Moment Jousting
When you hear the words “Spur of the Moment” , it evokes spontaneity, impulse and excitement; a perfect description of our Joust show! Come and see brightly attired knights on their valiant steeds battling at the joust, or showing off their skills in games involving precision and timing! Some of the challenges are rehearsed….other times, we wing it!

Historical Cooking Demo by das Geld Fähnlein
OCT 1 thru 16 ONLY! 11AM and throughout the day at the Living History Encampment. An army marches on its stomach and the women of das Geld Fähnlein are experts at keeping those stomachs full! Campfire cooking produces amazing results in the hands of these skilled camp followers.

Duchess of Yorkshire Pudding
Various Days throughout the run! The Duchess was born and raised in Lemon Drop Village and later moved to the kingdom of Yorkshire Pudding, where she has brought joy and laughter to young and old, rich and poor and even to creatures! She has so many tales she’d like to tell you!

Cast in Bronze
All weekends EXCEPT 15-16 OCT – The instrumentalist that plays the Carillon is known as the Carillonneur. The first carillon was inFlanders (northern Europe) where the carillonneur performed music on the bells of Qudenaarde Town Hall in 1510 by using a baton keyboard to raise the spirits of the people. The beautifully haunting sound of Cast In Bronze is like no other experience in the world. Charlie brings his experience as a musician and entertainer to provide epic performances through the majesty and power of the carillon. Do NOT miss this show!

Zoltan the Adequate
Oct 8th thru the 16th Only! Zoltan returns to CTRF for a two weekend guest spot this year! You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll wonder why you keep subjecting yourself to this bizarre form of punishment. Zoltan guarantees 100% adequacy in all he does, and he’ll make you laugh while he’s doing it. Magic and stupidity, three times a day.”

Armored Combat Demo
Watch as the Knights of Gore don full plate armor and beat the living daylights out of each other in an unrehearsed, no holds-barred, medieval battle.

Misfits of Avalon
The Misfits of Avalon have been delighting lovers of Celtic music at Renaissance Faires and traditional music festivals all over New England for more than a decade. The group consists of Brian Weiland on the hammered dulcimer and mandolin and Max Cohen on guitar, and for select shows will feature the astonishingly brilliant young wizard of the violin Aiden Weiland.

The Sisters Pendragon
What do you get when you mix stories, swords, and comedy? The Sisters Pendragon! Jenny and Penny Pendragon love to bring classic tales to the streets of the shire, but their methods of storytelling often conflict, leading to hilarity. Penny insists that every story must have blood and dramatic fights to the death, while Jenny is adamant that every tale must have a happy ending in which love prevails. For 2022, the sisters are featuring two distinct shows, “The Hero’s Journey Comedic Improv Show” and “The Deeds of Cú Chulainn.” Come and cheer on your favorite sister or become a part of the show yourself! And remember… all’s fair in love and war.

Medical Demonstration by das Geld Fähnlein
OCT 1 thru 16 ONLY! Soldiers are highly prone to injury and illness, which is why das Geld Fähnlein has skilled medical personnel on hand to handle emergencies as they arise. Covering everything from balancing your humours to amputating a shattered limb, the latest in medical knowledge will amaze and, likely, disturb you.

Pub Magic with Master Hildebrand
All Weekends EXCEPT Sept 24-25. Prepare to be Amazed! Astonished! Flabbergasted! Dumbfounded! And lots of other words! Master Hildebrand returns with his unique brand of pub magic. Find him wandering the lanes or at The Chamber Pot Pub and Stage daily!

The Saucy Sailor
What do you do with a drunken sailor? We hire him! Find Jeffrey Tanner stumbling the streets of the shire going from pub to pub playing his sea shanties for your amusement and delight. Find Jeffrey in our all new Pirate’s Cove this fall!

The Crimson Pirates
Sept 3rd to 18th only! Since the year of our Lord 1996, the intrepid crew of the Crimson Tide has been commandeering stages across the country to entertain sea dogs and landlubbers alike with an expansive repertoire of maritime, Celtic and folk music, featuring everything from standard Irish, English and Scottish tunes to Stan Rogers to the Animaniacs! The Greatest Pirate Story Never Told
Sept 3rd thru Sept 18 only! The Plot: Flung into the future by a musical-loving Sea Witch, a crew of misfit pirates-turned-actors must now perform the greatest pirate epic ever seen on stage! But when their script is partially obscured by a tragic squid ink accident, the crew must turn to the audience to fill in the missing bits of the plot. Cast members improvise their musical adventure, seamlessly weaving the audience suggestions into scenes, songs and more!

Lady Pretensia Presents
Pretensia has convinced some of the townsfolk to join her for Merry Manners and The Knowledge Symposium on the Sovereign Stage.

Shank Painters
Sept 24 & 25 only! Your favorite sea-farin’ scalliwags, The Shank Painters are a sea shanty band from Portland, ME who be blood-bound to rouse yar inner pirate in song!

Weapons Demo by das Geld Fähnlein
OCT 1 thru 16 ONLY! Witness the latest in military technology and technique as demonstrated by the members of das Geld Fähnlein. From swords to guns, these Landsknecht are the most feared soldiers on the 16th century battlefield. Warning: blackpowder guns will be fired.

Boom Boom Shake
Oct 8 thru 16 Only! With middle eastern roots, Boom Boom Shake will dazzle with world percussion beats and inspire with unforgettable guitar and violin melodies. Bellydancers fascinate with fiery veil dances and mesmerize with movement. Bring your dancing shoes, because you won’t be able to resist the groove!

Join the Crown Players as they celebrate King Henry Tudor and Queen Anne Boleyn on the Sovereign Stage throughout the day beginning at 10:45 am.

Warriors of Elysium
Sept 3rd to the 11th only! The Warriors of Elysium are a a full contact martial arts & living history group that portray the life & combat of the ancient Amazon & Myrmidon tribes from North Afrika, Greece & the Black Sea. Walk back into history & watch the mighty battles of the Trojan War, or join our instructors & learn to fight with the ancient panoply. To battle requires rigorous training, & you may join us as we work out in the field. Look for our banners and shields from afar! Our camp is located on The Highwayman’s Loop.

Smee, The Singing Executioner
Oct 15-16 only! You’ll lose your head from laughter when this legendary performer takes the stage to sing some of his greatest hits like “At the Block” and so many more! Don’t miss this master of the macabre on our final weekend only!

The Penniless Jacks
The Penniless Jacks are charismatic purveyors of pub music. Whether it be centuries-old shanties, boisterous drinking songs, rousing rebel tunes, or ballads of love, The Penniless Jacks will have you singing, clapping, and stamping along to their unique sound and energy.

Shakespeare Approves!
Join your friendly, neighbourhood Shakespeare as he takes you on adventures full of merriment: sword fights, mistaken identities, star-cross’d lovers, flying implements of doom, musical numbers, death by fluffy kittens, and … being pursued by a bear. The Shakespearean adventures are zany performances shaped to be fun for everyone!

The Lords of Adventure
Jack Bold & Roger Awesome are the Lords of Adventure. These identical twin brothers perform their token “two-man comedy sword fighting show that you would see at an outdoor festival show” show. They will delight you with comedy sword fighting and life lessons that are fun for the whole family.

Knights School
Education in a fun and real environment! Bring your little ones…or just yourself and learn something about the lives of knights and squires. Smite the Knight
Do you have what it takes to defeat one of Her Majesty’s greatest warriors? Find out in the ring! Smite the Knight is a safe “Boffer” style combat game where you square off against one of our “trained professionals” in safe, fun sword play. First one to five hits is declared the winner! Dice Knight Adventures!
Join us for an amazing interactive LARP that turns your whole faire experience into a giant game! Earn experience points and level up as a warrior, rogue or wizard. Join us on quests throughout the day. *Fee applies. [Learn more]

Knight’s Encampment
Join this group of Knights led by Lord Jeffery and learn the rules of Chivalry, how to prepare your armor and weapons for battle, how to make chainmail and more. Find them along Lord Jeffery’s March by the Joust Field. Stop by any time. Who knows…you may learn something!

Test of Strength
Swing the hammer to ring the bell! Compete with fellow patrons in the daily “Strong man Contest” to prove that you are indeed the strongest lord in the kingdom!

The Royal Maze
Take a stroll through the Maze as you hunt for lost treasure!

Living History Camp – Das Geld Fähnlein
OCT 1 thru 16 ONLY! A Landsknecht reenactment unit out of Connecticut portraying soldiers of the Holy Roman Empire in the late 1520s.
