NEW ENGLAND’S OLDE ENGLAND
SHIVER ME TIMBERS! THE FAIRE IS FUN.
It’s also Pirate Weekend, so break out your pirate Halloween costume and get into the fun. Arrrr, you ready?
Pirate Costume Contest: Unless they’re boarding your ship, everybody loves pirates, so dress the part and enter our pirate costume contest! Insider tip: The contest winners often talk like pirates, walk like pirates, and get into the whole pirate role. Do you have what it takes to win?
Siren Song Contest: Can you sing a mysterious note that would drive sailors to their doom? Please show us your creative song to win this contest.
Meet the Author: Each day of our show, we schedule a new up-and-coming fantasy author. Buy a book, get it signed, join their fan club, and grab a selfie to show you were there. See who the author is for a given day in the Guests Merchants section of our Shops page.
Contest Info: All contests occur on the Tudor Stage at 4:00 pm. Unless otherwise mentioned, the Faire includes these events with your same-day admission. If you are planning to enter a contest, please arrive 10-15 minutes before starting. At the discretion of the contest host, some events may choose to limit the number of participants in a particular contest due to time restrictions.

We intend to continue with our regular schedule, rain or shine. Should the weather become dangerous to our participants or guests, we will alter the show schedule without notice or close the event. Our Facebook Page (fb.com/ctfaire) will be updated as soon as possible. If you are concerned about potential closures, please call our box office at 860-478-5954 before leaving home.
Guests are welcome to wear family-friendly costuming to get into the fun. Costuming doesn't have to be "Renaissance" as we're a fantasy-based event. Come as you are or as you wish to be. Anything public-friendly goes, including Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Superheros, Villains, Stormtroopers, etc.
Any bladed weapons must be peace-tied. Weapons that are not easily peace-tied subject approval by Gate Security on a case-by-case basis. Replica weapons that resemble modern firearms are not permitted.
While the Faire has various affordable food options, we also allow guests to bring packed lunches, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages. We will escort individuals found in possession of outside alcohol off of the site without a refund.
Faire management reserves the right to inspect any package or container for any reason.
Be aware that there are numerous ticket scammers on Facebook claiming that (for whatever excuse) they can’t make it to the Faire this year and want to sell their tickets (usually cheap). Scammers are also able to print fake tickets and attempt to sell them in our parking lot. We cannot guarantee the validity of these tickets. To avoid being scammed we recommend purchasing your tickets through our website or at our box office on all Faire days.
Renaissance Faires originated in California back in the sixties. Since then, they've spread across the country, with some states having more than one. We run two shows in Connecticut: The Connecticut Renaissance Faire (Lebanon, CT) and Robin Hood's Medieval Faire (Harwinton, CT). Accept no substitutions.
