Roses & Romance Weekend
Love is a rose that never fades!
Love is in the air at the Connecticut Renaissance Faire! Join us for “Roses & Romance” weekend, and fall in love with everything it has to offer. If you’re single, grab a complimentary “Single!” sticker at the Gypsy Rose booth and say hello to other singles around the Faire. It’s a great way to meet people with similar interests.
Saturday
Fairest of them All: Mirror, Mirror on the Wall: Are you the fairest of them all? This is your chance to prove it! The contestant who receives the most roses purchased for them at the Faire will be declared the winner of the Mirror, Mirror on the Wall contest. Roses can be purchased by anyone and awarded to a contestant leading up to and during the contest. Judges will limit the number of contestants based on the total number of roses already received at the start of the competition. The winner will receive a certificate to accompany their prize, including a pair of tickets to return to the Faire and more! The grand prize is a gold-dipped rose gifted by Gypsy Rose.
Vow Renewals: Immediately following our Fairest of them all contest is a special Vow Renewal Ceremony for married couples. This special event is included with your admission to the Faire and includes a certificate, so don’t miss out!

Meet the Author: Each day of our show, we schedule a new up-and-coming fantasy author. Buy a book, get it signed, join their fan club, and grab a selfie to show you were there. See who the author is for a given day in the Guests Merchants section of our Shops page.
Contest Info: All contests occur on the Sovereign Stage at 2:45 pm. Unless otherwise mentioned, the Faire includes these events with your same-day admission. If you are planning to enter a contest, please arrive 10-15 minutes before starting. At the discretion of the contest host, some events may choose to limit the number of participants in a particular contest due to time restrictions.
